Cyclists will find traditional villages, and stunning scenery accessible from via dedicated trails, converted railway lines and canal side paths. Mountain Bikers should head for the trails at Danbury Common.

 

Paddlers can 'put-in' at Chelmsford and head down the Chelmers / Blackwater for a two day adveture, overnighting at Hoe Mill Lock and ending at Maldon.
